Days 1 - 3: Makgadikgadi Pans National Park
Upon arrival into Johannesburg International Airport you will be met and escorted to the gate for your connecting flight on to Maun. From Maun, you'll be privately tranferred to the first stop on your adventure: Camp Kalahari.
The Makgadigkadi Pans are fantastic: deep cultural connections, stunning landscapes, unique wildlife - I can't think of a better way to begin your safari!
Days 4 - 6: Okavango Delta
Continue exploring Botswana with three nights at Mapula Lodge, a newly renovated camp deep in the Okavango Delta. While here, daily activities include: twice daily game drives, motor boat safaris, and mokoro.
I highly recommend a morning mokoro - it's the best way to start your day.
All meals, beverages (excluding premium brands), guest laundry, daily activities, expert guiding and park entry fee. Medical emergency evacuation.
Days 7 - 9: Linyanti Concessions
Your last stop in Botswana will be DumaTau. In addition to having amazing wildlife viewing, great guides, and a gorgeous setting, this camp is also well known for its massive elephant herds that congregate in the drier months.
Activities and Services
All meals, twice daily scheduled camp activities, park fees, laundry and all local drinks (premium imported brands and champagne excluded).
Day 10: Victoria Falls (Zambia)
Leave Botswana and visit Victoria Falls for one night. Thorntree River Lodge is a fantastic place from which to explore the Falls and take a sunset cruise on the Zambezi.
Days 11 - 13: Lower Zambezi
Resume your safari, this time heading into Zambia for three nights. Your final stop is Chiawa Camp: situated on the banks of the Zambezi, this camp is considered one of the best safari destinations in the world.
